APPLICATIONS
Tangit Uni-Lock is a universal sealant suitable for sealing threaded joints of plastic and/or metal pipes. It is a practical substitute for Teflon or hemp tapes, ensuring tightness between threads.
Particularly recommended in situations where pipes need to be put into operation immediately after joining. Allows threads to be removed and reused. The joints are re-adjustable, allowing adjustments to be made without losing tightness.
It can be applied to rigid or flexible pipe threads, in hot or cold water installations (potable or non-potable), gas, compressed air and cooling fluids.
Applicable on pipes up to 6 inches in diameter. Seals instantly, for any pressure and temperature on any type of thread.
It is suitable for application on various types of plastics (polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC, ABS) as well as on metals: steel, stainless steel, copper, bronze, brass, and all types of chrome, nickel or galvanized metals).
Resistant to shocks and vibrations, oils, diluted acids and bases and cooling fluids.
Complies with EN 751-2 and DIN 30660 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd family gases, and for hot water up to 130ºC (DVGW approval). Complies with KTW standard for hot or cold potable water up to 95ºC and complies with BS 6920 for potable water up to 85ºC (WRc approval).
