Description
DIDO Silver Self-Cleaning Filter that is installed at the drinking water inlet of the house, whose objective is remove foreign bodies and particles in the water such as gravel, metal flakes, mucilage, rust, etc.
The water entering the filter follows a mandatory path that takes it through the mesh of the filter element, consisting of a 316 – 50 micron silver-coated stainless steel mesh, flowing from the outside to the inside. In this way, particles with dimensions greater than the filtration degree of the mesh will stop, accumulate at the bottom of the filter or remain blocked on the external surface of the filter element. The previously stopped particles will be removed by opening the bottom drain.
The removal of particles in suspension less than 2mm is fundamental in the treatment of domestic waterIn fact, water systems can be subject to problems when impurities are present, such as clogging of pressure regulators and it is essential in sophisticated descaling equipment, osmosis, water dispensers or boilers. To ensure filter efficiency, the cartridge should be cleaned periodically and changed at least once a year.
These devices can be defined as “protection filters” and are therefore designed for this purpose, so they are not suitable for filtering water containing large amounts of lime, sand or other materials. In these cases, a coarser particle filtration system must be installed before the DIDO filter.
