BURIED INSTALLATION
Fats, vegetable and animal oils, are contaminating compounds that form part of the composition of cooking oils such as frying oil, margarines and butters.
The grease separator is a physical treatment equipment for oily water contaminated with fats, through which the separation of the oils present in the oily waste water is achieved, achieving a discharge value in accordance with the requirements of current legislation, Decree-Law 236/98 of 1 August (Portugal). Its objective is to reduce the concentration of oils and fats in the discharge to a value below 15 mg/l.
- Oily waters contaminated with fats result from the operation of various activities, such as: canteens, restaurants, butcher shops, slaughterhouses and catering establishments.
- The grease separator, prefabricated in HDPE, was designed in accordance with EN 1825-1 to receive all the oily water produced in the facilities, and is not designed to receive concentrated used oils. Likewise, domestic waste water cannot be conveyed to the grease separator.
